７場所連続優勝の朝青龍、千秋楽も勝利で飾る

　大相撲九州場所は日曜日、横綱朝青龍が大関千代大海を敗り千秋楽を勝利で
飾った。前人未到の７場所連続の賜杯から１日後、２５歳の横綱は年間勝利
新記録も８４に伸ばし１４勝１敗とした。
　
　大関への昇進が確実とみられる関脇の琴欧州は１１勝４敗で終えた。彼は
殊勲賞（２回目）敢闘賞（３回目）も受賞している。

Asashoryu celebrates 7th straight title with final-day win  

 Yokozuna Asashoryu celebrated the final-day win by beating up ozeki 
Chiyotaikai on the Kyushu Grand Sumo Tournament on Sunday. A day after 
an unprecedented seventh straight Emperor's Cup, the 25-year-old 
Yokozuna also set a new record of 84 wins in a year and record 14-1. 

 Sekiwake Kotooshu, who is almost certain to be promoted to ozeki, 
finished with an 11-4 record. He also won an Outstanding Performance 
Prize, his second, and a Fighting Spirit Prize, his third.
