ソフトバンク　王監督退任

　ソフトバンクホークスの王貞治監督（６８）は火曜日、健康上の理由により
１４年間指揮を執ったチームを離れることを発表した。監督としての勝利数は
１３１２勝で歴代８位。

　「ちょうどプロ野球界に入って５０年、本当に幸せな人生でした。」と福岡市
のホテルで行われた記者会見で語った。

Oh to quit as Softbank Hawks manager

 Softbank Hawks manager Sadaharu Oh, 68, said Tuesday he will leave his 
post for health reasons after 14 seasons at the helm. He is eighth on 
the all-time list with 1,312 career wins as manager.

 "I've been in pro baseball for 50 years and it's really been a happy 
life for me," Oh said in a press conference held at a Fukuoka hotel.
